Leg Veins
You don’t have to live with unsightly leg veins any more. Thanks to new laser technology unattractive red, blue or purple veins can be eliminated quickly and safely leaving an overall clearer and more attractive skin appearance.
The procedure is suitable for veins that are superficial and up to 4mm in diameter.
Treatment
A laser beam is passed through the surface of the skin to reach the blood vessels causing the vessel walls to collapse and later dissolve within the body.
What to expect immediately after treatment
Immediately following the treatment, veins may alter to appear a light red colour which will fade within a couple of hours. Larger veins will turn greyish and flatten.
Redness develops within a few minutes and a so-called ‘cat scratch’ appearance may appear. Redness may last for a few days and the cat scratch areas may scab over. Larger veins will take a few weeks to fade.
The number of treatments required will vary depending on the severity of the veins but usually one to three sessions are all that is required over eight to twelve week intervals. You will be advised on the potential outcome at your initial consultation.
