Why wait any longer?
They say you’re as young as you feel, but wouldn’t it be nice to look in the mirror and see a face that reflects this?
As we get older, nature can sometimes benefit from a helping hand and that’s where non-surgical facial treatments can give pleasing results. We want our clients to look and feel their very best and we’re here to help achieve that in a virtually pain-free manner.
Muscle relaxing injections using Botulinum Toxin Type A (trade-names include Botox®/ Azzalure®/ Bocouture®) have been safely used for more than 25 years to smooth out tell-tale lines and wrinkles and rejuvenate your appearance.
Muscle relaxing injections are particularly effective for treating forehead wrinkles and laughter lines around the eyes.

- Quick, easy and can yield very effective results
- Little or no downtime required
- Rejuvenate your appearance for up to four months
These injections are now recognised as suitable treatments for other conditions.
People who suffer from hyperhidrosis experience excessive amounts of sweating. It’s a lot more common than previously thought, and many sufferers don’t discuss it with their health care providers because they aren’t aware that it can actually benefit from treatment. The sweating may affect the whole body, or it may only affect certain areas.
It can affect both men and women, and people of different ethnic origin. In most cases, it is not a temporary condition and the impact on a person’s life can be severe.
We offer Botulinum Toxin (commonly referred to as Botox®) treatments to treat hyperhidrosis in localised areas – for example, the underarms. These injections can dramatically reduce troublesome sweating. (Read more)
BOTOX® can also be a suitable treatment for chronic migraine headaches. There are different types of migraine headaches, and chronic is classified as 3 months of at least 15 days of headache per month, of which at least 8 days have features of being a migraine (for example, nausea, light or noise sensitivity, pulsating or lateralised pain). How does it work?
Botulinum Toxin Type A is a bacterium that blocks the release of acetylcholine, the substance responsible for transmitting electrical impulses that elicit muscle contraction. In medicine, Botulinum Toxin Type A is injected directly into hyperactive muscles. It has been safely and effectively used for treatment of strabismus (cross-eye) and blepharospasm (lid spasm) since the early eighties. For cosmetic purposes, we inject Botulinum Toxin Type A to temporarily stop specific facial muscles contracting. It is the repeated contraction of these muscles that can cause lines and wrinkles.
What happens during the treatment?
Wrinkle softening is a straightforward procedure. We simply use a very fine needle to gently inject Botulinum Toxin Type A into the areas where it’s needed, so it can get to work smoothing out those lines and wrinkles. It’s a relatively painless procedure.
Although these injections have an excellent safety record, we will discuss potential side effects, contraindications to therapy and potential drug interactions during your initial consultation.
When will I see results?
It usually takes around 7-14 days to see the full effects of each treatment, with results lasting up to four months. Occasionally you may require a top-up injection at two weeks. It is always better to inject a conservative amount of Botulinum Toxin Type A and add more if required.
Your facial expression will become more relaxed but by no means mask-like. The overall result is very natural.
How often can I have it done?
We recommend that you wait until your previous treatment has worn off before having a further muscle relaxing injection treatment. For this reason, you will probably need to leave three months between appointments.
What can I expect immediately after treatment?
It is common to see some small raised bumps at the injection sites of your treatment. Typically, these go down within 20 minutes. Bruising at the injection site may occur occasionally but should resolve quickly.
It is quite common to experience a mild headache after injections with Botulinum Toxin Type A. These can be treated with over-the-counter painkillers.
